# Test Fixtures Directory
This directory should contain sample files for testing:
## Required Files
1. **sample.mp4** - A short (10-30 seconds) video with Japanese dialogue
- Used for testing video processing pipeline
- Should contain clear speech for transcription testing
- Recommended: Record a simple self-introduction or use royalty-free content
2. **expected_output.json** - Expected analysis output for `sample.mp4`
- Used for regression testing
- Generated by running: `python tests/test_video_cli.py -i tests/fixtures/sample.mp4 -o tests/fixtures/expected_output.json`
## Creating Test Fixtures
### Option 1: Record Your Own
```bash
# Use FFmpeg to create a test video from webcam (Windows)
ffmpeg -f dshow -i video="Integrated Camera" -t 10 sample.mp4
# Or use screen recording tools
```
### Option 2: Use Sample Content
Download a short royalty-free video with Japanese dialogue from:
- https://www.pexels.com/videos/
- https://pixabay.com/videos/
### Generate Expected Output
Once you have `sample.mp4`:
```bash
python tests/test_video_cli.py -i tests/fixtures/sample.mp4 -o tests/fixtures/expected_output.json
```
## File Structure
```
tests/
fixtures/
.gitkeep
sample.mp4 # Your test video (git-ignored)
expected_output.json # Expected result (committed to repo)
README.md # This file
```
## Note
`sample.mp4` is git-ignored (large file). Only commit `expected_output.json` for CI/CD testing.
